Mechanical Engineer

Location: Twinsburg, Ohio

Position Description:

This position involves SolidWorks and AutoCAD design of chassis and test-stand type dynamometers and related test equipment, for both new designs and modification of existing designs.

This position will require the following in a successful candidate:

  • BSME / MSME degree
  • 5 years’ experience
  • Ability to use both SolidWorks and AutoCAD productively
  • An understanding of static and dynamic machine design and operation, including alignment, deflection, vibration, fatigue, balance, etc.
  • An understanding of speed, force, torque, power, energy, pressure, temperature and vibration with regard to machine design
  • Must be fluent in rotating mass inertia calculations
  • Willingness and ability to work on a manufacturing shop floor, checking actual part fit and performance
  • An interest in vehicles and vehicle components, and the testing thereof
  • Ability to change tasks rapidly, to accommodate dynamically changing project schedules
  • Some travel may be required, generally when evaluating new projects
  • Experience in creating and maintaining project scale BOMs
  • Familiarity with pneumatic/hydraulic fluid power components and plumbing

Software Engineer – Data Acquisition & Machine Control

Location: Twinsburg, Ohio

Position Description:

This position is for a software engineer, working on computerized data acquisition and control systems for custom vehicle and aerospace test equipment.  This is not a purely office-based position, as considerable hands-on, factory-floor and customer-site work is required, generally in product testing and customer training.

Additional knowledge with respect to electronic sensors, D/A hardware, actuators, motor drives, embedded controllers, PLCs, etc is required. You must be able to perform calibrations, run machines, trouble shoot wiring, use a voltmeter, etc.

To be successful in this position, you will need to be both interested in and able to understand electro-mechanical systems using computerized data acquisition and control systems. Since every system is custom-made, considerable testing is required, and you will be performing that testing, out on the factory floor, or at a customer site. You will need to be willing and able to proficiently run machines, and avoid damaging them during initial startup.

Educational Requirements

BS/MS Computer Science / Math preferred

BS/MS EE or similar considered

Project Manager/Engineer – Aerospace and Vehicle Testing Equipment

Location: Twinsburg, Ohio

Position Description:

This position is for a project manager/engineer to coordinate the design, manufacturing and installation at customer site, of custom vehicle and aerospace test equipment. This is not a purely office-based position, as considerable travel and customer interaction is required at the customer’s site and our site.  This is a hands-on position requiring a high mechanical aptitude, and product ownership during in-houses phases and on-site equipment installation, start-up, sign-off and training.

The position will require coordination with our suppliers to track and schedule the project during the design, manufacturing, in-house assembly and test out phase of the project. Additionally, coordination with on-site sub-contractors: electricians, riggers, HVAC, plumbing, concrete, and erectors is required.

This position will require in-house training and the applicant will be working independently and shadowing for a couple of years a retiring project manager.

Educational Requirements

  • BS Engineering
  • BS Construction/Industrial Engineering and Management
  • Project Management Certifications (preferred)

Software Packages Requirements

  • Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Outlook

Ability Requirements

  • Managing, monitoring and updating scheduling of a 4-month to 4-year project
  • Scheduling and communicating with the customer with daily updates, scheduled weekly meetings or as need project related basis.

  • Installation trouble shooting skills using: voltmeter, oscilloscope, alignment tools, temperature monitoring, etc.

Controls Engineer – Data Acquisition & Machine Control

This position requires knowledge of machine control design and documentation, development of control wiring, circuit and schematic drawings. Selection of machine control components with respect to electronic sensors, D/A hardware, actuators, motor drives, embedded controllers, PLCs, VFDs, etc.

To be successful in this position, you will need to be both interested in and able to understand electro-mechanical systems using computerized data acquisition and control systems. Since every system is custom-made, considerable hands-on testing is required on the factory floor and at customer’s site.     Sales Engineer

    Location: Twinsburg, Ohio

    Job Description:

    Sales Engineer to generate quotations of custom test systems.  To be successful in this position, you will need to be interested in and able to understand electro-mechanical systems using computerized data acquisition and controls systems.  This position requires knowledge with respect to electronic sensors, DAQ hardware, actuators, motors, motor drives, embedded controllers, PLC’s etc.  Ability to interpret customer specifications to develop a system scope of supply, engineering estimate to design, build and test the system.  After receipt of order, transition project to design and production team.  Support internal Marketing team to generate brochures, website content, etc.

    Applicant should posses fundamental machine building application history with emphasis on electrical, mechanical, software and hydraulics systems and their various components.  Use of existing and next-generation technology in system design such as: controls, electronics, materials and communication busses.
