Today’s heavy-duty trucks must meet increasingly stringent emissions and safety standards. In many cases, dynamic testing - on-highway or with a dynamometer - is the only way to adequately measure vehicle performance or engine emissions.

The Mustang MD-1000 has the maximum absorption capacity of 2,000 hp, enough to handle all standard trucks, including tandem axle Class Eight tractors. Other features include a rugged, unitary frame and flexible tandem axle spacing. The precision machined rollers mean you can conduct sustained tests at highway speeds. Two infinitely-variable eddy current power absorbing units (PAUs) manage high vehicle loads.

With Mustang’s sophisticated software, you can design a wide range of tests - including three-stage diesel lugdown - and provide both on-screen and print-out results. Controls include a wireless hand-held unit, so operators can control the test from the cab of the vehicle.
