MD-AWD-1750 | Designed for those that test the fastest cars on the planet
The AWD-1750 is the newest AWD dynamometer built by Mustang. It has a set of 50” rollers that are mechanically linked to another 3 or 4 sets of 12.625” rollers. An air clutch allows you to switch between 2WD and AWD modes by clicking a button. No moving parts to handle different wheelbases.
Well, leave it to Mustang to design an AWD dyno that gives you the best of all worlds in on machine. Test the fastest 2WD dragster with a pair of 50” rollers that can be de-coupled to test at speeds of up to 250-mph. Test AWD vehicles with a mechanically linked front and rear roller systems that ensures you will not damage your customer’s expensive vehicles. With the AWD-1750, you sacrifice nothing and have a dyno that can handle literally any and every vehicle that could potentially drive up to your dyno.
The MD-AWD-1750-DE incorporates two powerful eddy current PAU’s that give you loading potential to 1,200-hp steady state EFI tuning and controlled acceleration rate testing.
The standard MD-AWD-1750 will accomodate vehicles with wheelbases ranging from 88” – 118” without any moving parts. The fixed and mechanically linked rollers allow you to center the rear wheels on the 50” set of rollers and allow the front wheels to sit anywhere on the 3 or 4 belted set of 12.625” rollers. By being mechanically linked, all rollers spin at the same speed and the potential for catastrophic drivetrain damage caused by front and rear speed differences is eliminated. You test the vehicle with all four wheels spinning at the same speed.
